Present Simple Tense// Present Indefinite Tense.

Present Simple Tense or Present Indefinite Tense

Use: To express habitual action

        To express universal truth

 



Structure: Subject-Verb (Base Form)- Object.

Example: (Simple Sentence)

I study English.

I do not study english.

Do I study English?

Who study English?

What do I study?

Why do I study?

How do I study?

Where do I study?

He studies english.

He does not study english.

Does he study english?

Who study english?

Why does he study english?

What does he study?

When does he study?

How does he study?

We work in office.

We do not work in office.

Do we work in office?

Who work in office?

Where do we work?

Why do we work?

How do we work?

When do we work?

Note:

1.  If subject is in 3rd person singular form, add 's/es' with main verb for making assertive

Sentences.

2.  Use 'Does' as helping verb to make negative statement.

3.  Also use 'Does' to form yes/No interrogative and Wh-Questions.   

4.  Except 'I and You' all other singular subjects comes under 3rd person singular category.

Correct the error:

In 'correct the errors' questions, all verb will be held in present simple form because the verbs given in sentences above does not take continuous tense.
